Happy Feature Friday: Declan Landis

Declan Landis, Reporting Journalist

Happy “Feature Friday!” Each week, we’ll be featuring a dedicated journalist for his stellar commitment at the Salesianum Review. So without further ado…

Meet Declan Landis! Declan is a writer and editor for the Salesian Scoop section of the Salesianum Review and the Student Council President of Salesianum. Declan has written for Sals Review for three years now and enjoys bringing the news of what’s happening around the school to the larger Salesian community. His favorite thing to write about is current Salesian events. When he isn’t working for The Review, Declan is one of the voices of WSAL and host of Trust the Podcess. He also enjoys playing volleyball at Sallies and watching sports with his family and friends.

When asked what was the most exciting game that Declan ever called as the voice of Salesianum sports, he responded, “It’s hard to choose, but there are two that immediately come to mind. The first was the Senior Night basketball game vs. Sussex Tech where Tommy Montooth hit the game winner because the atmosphere was electric and the game itself was just so competitive to the very end. The second is the football game this year vs. Hodgson because it was a game no one thought Sallies would win and they played absolutely perfectly and took down the giant. Being even a small part of this moment in history is indescribable, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be the commentator for that game.” Stay tuned for more from the ICONIC Declan Landis!
