Last weekend, Salesianum produced their second student only production in school history. The show Habitat, written by Judith Thompson, tells the story of a group home for troubled teenagers that moves into a wealthy neighborhood. The house, run by Lewis Chance (Jack Krukiel), is aggressively confronted by residents of the affluent neighborhood who fear a rise in crime and possible decline in property value. The play teaches a great lesson of coexistence and exposes privilege in this society.

Habitat is the final play by Salesianum School Theater of this school year and the final high school performance for multiple seniors. It is great play to end the year and unique in that it is produced completely by students.

The play had three showings over the weekend, and many packed the theater to see the final show of the school year. Congratulations to all the students involved in putting on such a great show and especially to cast members Jack Krukiel (Lewis Chance), Marina Pilger (Raine), Frank Frabizzio (Sparkle), Caroline Achenbach (Janet), Rose Langrehr (Margaret), Braedon Carney (Swing), and Celea Ransom (Swing).
