Middletown Time

This past Friday, the Salesianum football team faced off against perhaps its fiercest rival, Middletown. The game was at 7:15 on the 14th at Middletown, but it didn’t matter to the faithful fans of Salesianum, who showed up and supported the team. Salesianum won a close battle 31-21, mostly because of some more stellar defense. Jake Ziegler had a 40 yard pick-6 in the second quarter to put the Sals up 10. Following a pair of Middletown touchdowns, Quarterback Ryan Stoehr found Nate Ray for a 20 yard touchdown completion to put Salesianum up 17-10 at the half. The second half was more of the same, with Stoehr finding Ben Anton for a 28 yard TD. And then to seal the game in the 4th Quarter, Andrew Ransom ran it in for a 3 yard touchdown. This win is hopefully a precursor of what is to come from the Sals.
