This year Salesianum School is hosting the first ever Christmas Lunch. The lunch provides Salesianum’s neighbors, WHA residents, with the ability to spend Christmas with some new friends. Residents who do not have a place to go, and who cannot spend Christmas with their families for a variety of reasons, will be able to spend Christmas with the Salesian community and many volunteers. The lunch takes place on Christmas day from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The man behind this event, senior John Casale, is looking for both student and parent volunteers for the event. Casale is encouraging Salesianum students to sign up to serve the school’s community. He says those who sign up will “still have the morning and evening with the family. Christmas was the day the savior was born so why don’t you do something good in the down time.” Casale says the lunch will “help support WHA residents to have a Christmas full of fun, family, and friends.”
