Hey solvers,
This week we have quite a treat: a full Sunday-sized 21×21 by Junior Michael Guarino. The title of this puzzle (“Animal Crossing”) is a hint to understanding the circled squares and the down answers they connect. This is a very clever theme, but the easy clueing should make this approachable for all solvers!
This is also a contest puzzle! Once you solve the puzzle, unscramble the yellow squares to find the name of a fittingly ‘snaking’ animal. Email the name of the animal along with a screen shot of the ‘solved’ puzzle to Mr. O’Brien ([email protected]) by May 17 for a chance to win prizes (including School Store gift cards, and House Points)!
This contest is open to all current students, staff, alumni, and anyone in the wider Salesianum community. You are allowed to solve in pairs if you’d like! Just put the names of all solvers in your group in your email.
Kudos to Michael for composing this puzzle. We hope you enjoy solving it!
