Greetings solvers!
For our first puzzles of the year, we have two mid-sized (11×11) offerings, both with lots of Halloween/horror movie trivia. You can give them a try below!
Cluing Conventions for New Solvers:
– Most clues are definitions, and should be able to be swapped out with the answer in a hypothetical sentence. If the clue features for a plural noun, the answer must be a plural noun (Example Clue: Toys that take batteries; Answer: RCCARS). If the clue features a present tense verb, the answer should be a present tense verb (Example Clue: Jumps; Answer: LEAPS).
– Question marks indicate that there is some wordplay afoot
– If part of a clue is abbreviated, the answer is abbreviated (Example Clue: Org. that issues IDs; Answer: DMV)
– If part of a clue is in another language, the answer is likely in another language
– Fill in the blank clues obviously do not abide by the above rules
That about covers it! Check back here from time to time for a mix of mini, mid-sized, and full sized puzzles. If you are interested in solving more, check out Crossword Club in A-225 during the second half of Flex on Fridays.
