Meet Jack Cordery, a Senior and STUCO vice president at Salesianum who is making a big impact. He is an active member of the swim team and a founding member of the non-profit Leadership Club. He and the rest of STUCO are a big part of our events this year, be it planning, fundraising, or promoting brotherhood during Chapter, Prep, house games, SALSTHON, pep rallies, tailgates, and student sections.
Over his four years here at Salesianum, he has grown to become a leader fueled by his desire to help others. “I want to do the best I can to make other people’s Salesianum experience as great as mine has been,” Jack explains. “I’ve always been a natural leader, and I want to make an impact on this tradition before I graduate.”
Many big events happen in Salesianum every year, but Jack claims his favorite is Salsthon.”I can’t wait to have our dance-a-thon and support an incredible charity,” he says. “It’s always so much fun and a great way to get everyone involved in something greater than themselves.” Jack believes that SalsThon is a wonderful opportunity for the Salesianum community to come together, raise funds for a great cause, and create lasting memories.
Besides STUCO, Jack has been a swim team member for four years. Furthermore, Jack is a founder of the Nonprofit Leadership Club where members learn about running nonprofits and the behind-the-scenes operations that make them successful and even assist Nonprofits.
One of the principles of SFDS principles that is highly emphasized here at Salesianum is to live each day, and Jack follows that diligently. “What pushes me to live each day well is my desire to be a role model for others. I want to be the best version of myself to make the people around me better, whether that be my family, friends, or my community. I strive to do my best every moment I can.”
